  • The bulk of services are between €25,000 - €50,000, some are more. However, a few services start at €5,000. All engagements are a fixed fee. No discounts.

  • For starters, Fox & Egg doesn’t take equity and unless you get into HAX or Bolt, you’ll only run into “agnostic” startup coaches that have no idea what it takes to start a consumer hardware business

  • First off: you definitely need a technical co-founder, but finding the right one is tricky. Fox & Egg doesn’t focus on teaching design or engineering, but rather the methods to develop the right product with the least amount of risk from idea to warehouse.

    Most designers and engineers never learn this in school or even in their profession.

  • You definitely can, but it’s important to know when and how, Fox & Egg can help you with figuring that out. For businesses where hardware is a means to an end and more of an inconvenience rather than part of the core business, it’s even advised. to do so!

    Most agencies try to take on as much development scope as possible to better control their quality of work, which makes sense! But in doing so your hardware startup isn’t internalizing any product knowledge and is building up long-term dependence.

  • This is even recommended for highly specialized aspect of your product that are not core to your business, but managing a variety of freelancers without any overarching multidisciplinary process can be a nightmare.
